Junior Cup and Junior Shield Round 1 Draws.
The first round of both the Junior Cup and Shield have been drawn. In the Cup, Santos will face Ambassadors FC from the Mid-Ulster league at home at Strangford Avenue on 25th September. An away day is on the cards in the Shield as Santos will travel to Ballymoney to play Finvoy FC from the Ballymena and Provincial league on Saturday 2nd October.

JP Byrne hits 300. Saturdays win over AFC Craigavon marked goalkeeper JP Byrnes 300th appearance for the club. The remarkable feat is made all the better when considering the veteran (haha) has also scored 6 goals for the club. Congratulations JP.

Junior Cup and Junior Shield Draws Made. In the Junior Cup First Round, New Santos have been drawn at home. against AFC Craigavon Reserves, of the Mid-Ulster League. In the Junior Shield,
the club will take on last seasons Nelson Cup winners Greencastle Rovers in an all BDFL tie.

Fixtures announced. The fixtures for the coming season in the Premier Division have been announced and are available on the fixtures page.
The club will take on Westrock Star in their top tier debut on the 6th September.

New Santos promoted to BDFL Premier Division. Due to Sporta deciding to pull their first team out of the BDFL after earning promotion to the Premier Division, New Santos were next
in line for promotion and will play in the top tier of the Belfast & District League for the first time. Manager Ronan Doherty had this to say: "It will be a dog fight for us. We will be
favourites for relegation and probably dont have a strong enough squad to compete regularly with the top five-six teams.
However as a club we will give it everything to ensure we stay in the top division. The B&D is a great league with some fantastic teams."
Congratulations to player/coach Aidan Mooney on his successful completion of the IFA 'C' License during the IFA National Coaching Week which was held at The Dub during the 22nd-27th June. Aidan is now moving on to the next stage of the course during September.

Friendlies arranged! The club has arranged the following pre-season friendlies:
- 9th August, 12pm vs Collingwood at Victoria Park
- 16th August, 1pm vs 8th OB at Victoria Park
- 23rd August, 1pm vs Finaghy YM at Victoria Park
- 30th August, 2pm vs St Theresas at Mallusk

Pre-season training has started back! Training is being held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6.30pm at Strangford playing fields, with friendlies to be organised on Saturdays over the coming weeks.
