David joined the club at the start of the 2006/2007 season and made an immediate impact, scoring ten minutes after coming on in his debut against West Belfast II. After a spell in and out of the team, he became a regular after Christmas and cemented the right wing spot, contributing 3 goals in his first season.
After settling as a centre back, David was voted Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year by his team mates for the 2007/2008 season and Young Player of the Year again in 2009. He is now the first team captain for the 2010/11 season.
