Oily has everything a target man needs, his height, strength and deceptive pace makes him an awkward opponent for any defender. His height and ability in the air provides Santos with a great outlet from any set-piece situation.
Although primarily a striker, he can also slot in comfortably in the heart of the defence. The veteran strikers' impressive scoring record is a result of finishing as top scorer two seasons in a row, from 2003 to 2005. These two seasons also saw him awarded the clubs Player of the Year, making him the only player to win the award twice.
