Despite recent poor form, Santos were on the attack from the get-go. A Martin Magee double put Santos 2 goals up within 20 minutes before Conor Chambers' delightful lob made it 3. Kieran Seaward added another with a fine left footed effort from 25 yards before Magee completed his hat-trick before the half-time whistle.

Ligoneil battled well early on in the second half and were on top for a spell before Stevie Copeland converted a rebound from Joe Magees header which had hit the crossbar. He made no mistake with his next header however and put Santos 7-0 up. A late back post header from Chambers put the sealing on an excellent Santos performance.
